What are the different types of massage?

Answer: There are many different types of massage. You can read about all of the different types of massage treatments I provide on my Services page. If you’re unsure about which massage is the right one for you, or would like to make a bespoke package request, please reach out to me via the Contact page, and I'll get back to you with recommendations.

What should I wear during a massage?

Answer: You should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing or athletic wear to your massage appointment. Many people choose to wear underwear or swimwear during the massage, but this is a personal preference. I will provide you with the privacy you need to ensure your comfort and modesty.

What should I expect during a massage?

Answer: During a massage, you will lie on a massage table and I will apply pressure and/or movement to your soft tissues / joints. Depending on the massage, you may be asked to adjust / remove clothing or to move into different positions to allow us to access different parts of your body. I will provide you with the privacy you need to ensure your comfort and modesty.

How long does a massage session usually last?

Answer: Depending on the treatments selected, the length of a massage session can vary but a typical session is 60 to 90 minutes. You can choose the duration of your massage session when booking your treatments.

How often should I get a massage?

Answer: The frequency of massages depends on your individual needs and preferences. Some people may benefit from a massage every week, while others may only need a massage every few months. Is it normal to be sore after a massage?

Answer: It's normal to experience some soreness after a massage, especially if you received a deep tissue or sports massage. This soreness should go away within a day or two. If you experience severe pain or discomfort after a massage, please get in touch with me.

Is it safe to get a massage if I have a medical condition?

Answer: In most cases, it is safe to get a massage if you have a medical condition. However, it's important to talk to your doctor and disclose any medical condition you might have before getting a massage, especially if you have any concerns about how a massage treatment may affect your condition.
